Our school currently working towards the Bronze award for Cymraeg Campus. This award is achieved by a school for its hard work and dedication in promoting the Welsh Langauge and Welsh ethos.
The charter consists of three awards - bronze, silver and gold. Schools attempt to complete these awards over a three year period - one each year. Each award comprises of ten targets and these targets become more challenging as you progress from efydd - to arian - to aur.
The school has a 'Criw Cymraeg' that will lead the initiative alongside staff members.
During the year a number of events will be held to support our efforts to achieve this award- your support would be gratefully recieved.
We have ten targets to achieve to gain the Bronze Cymraeg Campus Award
The objective of the Language Charter is to provide a clear framework, which can be used to promote and increase the use of Welsh by children in a social context.
To encourage and inspire our children to use Welsh in all aspects of their lives.
The Language Charter exhorts participation from every member of the school community: the school council, the pupils, the workforce, parents, governors and the wider community are all encouraged to take full ownership of it.
