Welcome to Dosbarth Berwyn's
Class Teacher: Miss Leech
What we're learning:
In literacy we are reading the novel 'Street Child' and in topic we are learning about the Victorians so our book is helping us find out lots about what it was like in Victorian times. Every Monday in maths we learn different problem-solving strategies. We learn things like adding, subtracting, multiplying, dividing, fractions etc during the rest of the week. Every Friday we have a times table test. In Welsh, we are learning everyday conversation, classroom objects, commands and talking about ourselves. At the moment in science, we are learning about forces.
What I need to do at home:
You can read as much as possible and try and read your school book at least a few times a week. Practise your times tables in preparation for the test every Friday. Complete your Learning Log (homework book), which is sent home fortnightly.
What I need to bring to school:
You will need your reading book and record every day. You need to bring your Learning Log back on time (date due in is inside the book). You need to have your PE kit (white t-shirt, white shorts, white socks and trainers) in school at all times. We do PE on a Wednesday and a Friday. As it is getting colder, children are allowed to wear plain tracksuit bottoms/jumper/hoodie over their PE kit to keep warm.
