Spring Term 2025 our Topic is Wet Wet Wet! - all about Water!

Our work supports all AOLEs - here is an example of what we will be covering: Changing State and the Water Cycle, how our bodies use water, water colours, Handel's Water Music, water around the world, glaciers and ice-bergs, pollution, conserving water. We use EPIC (Everyone Planning in Class) to get pupils' ideas and incorporate them into our work.

Our on-going work in Literacy includes: phonics, hand-writing, grammar, punctuation reading sessions, and we will be focusing on Pie Corbett and writing our own stories in response to 'Message in a Bottle'.

Please encourage your child to use Prodigy English, 'Wordshark', and 'Spellblast' on their hwb account to improve spelling.

Numeracy continues to cover our 4 number operations and Shape, Data and Measure activities. Our problem solving and reasoning activities continue with a variety of individual, pair and group tasks such as 'Talk It, Ask It'.'

Please encourage your child to use Times table Rockstars, Topmarks 'Hit the Button', Topmarks 'Daily Ten', TTBlast on their hwb account to support times tables and number in Maths.

Do not hesitate to contact us on Seesaw, or through the school office.

    Kind Regards,
